Hank Upright Safety Officer

Maintaining a safe working environment is Joseph Dugan, Inc. number one priority. To help make sure all of our projects are operating under the proper safety standards, we have a full time safety director on staff. As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe job-site our safety director, along with all of our project managers, superintendents and foremen are trained in CPR, first aid, fire extinguisher training, confined space entry, and are trained in lead abatement. The majority of our foremen have attended OSHA’s 30-hour course in construction safety and health.

Joseph Dugan, Inc. conducts quarterly industrial hygiene surveys at all of our job sites, which include dust sampling and noise monitoring. Job site safety audits are conducted bi-weekly by Joseph Dugan, Inc. superintendents. Before starting a large scale project a complete hazard analysis of work features is performed and accident prevention plans are prepared.

Daily tool box meeting are held on-site to ensure safety is our #1 one priority. Under the guidance of our safety director, Hank Upright, a program/safety manual is in place and adhered to by every individual assigned to the project.
